The World Health Organization has declared the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) a worldwide pandemic.


Due to its capacity to transmit from person-to-person through respiratory droplets, the government has set recommendations, guidelines, and some prohibitions which Lab Rat Academy adheres to comply.

Essential Education

Lab Rat Academy considers "in-person" education an essential activity for students of all ages. The question everyone wants to know right now is, "Will there be "IN-PERSON" SCIENCE LABS in the Fall?" For that reason, we are doing what we can to continue to offer our "in-person" services to the homeschool community while protecting your family's health and safety. 

Reconvening science labs "in-person" has not been an easy feat as we approach the Fall Semester of 2020. 

There were many hoops we had to decide if we were going to dodge or jump through.  Then there were several options for how we were going to proceed in the Fall.

According to the California Department of Public Health COVID-19 safety guidelines for Day Care and Day Camp, Lab Rat Academy has implemented the following to protect your family's health:


  • Class size has been reduced 
  • Symptom checks are being conducted 
  • Classes will be held outside when possible
  • Teacher will wear a face covering 
  • Common areas disinfected frequently
  • Hand sanitizer will be available
  • Soap and water will be available
